The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu is now in tensed moments as he awaits for the delegates to decide his fate in the ongoing National Delegates Elections. A picture of John Boadu who has removed his shoes while sitting with a very nervy face has gone viral.
Mr Boadu, who has held the General Secretary position of the party, both in acting and substantive positions since 2015, is seeking to lead the party again into the 2024 election. He is been contested by four (4) other people.
The other aspirants are; Justin Kodua Frimpong, Iddrisu Musah Superior, Ramseyer Ahmed Agyeman-Prempeh and Frederick Opare Ansah.
Although many people have predicted for him to win but perhaps the pressure from the elections has caused this massive tension for him. Voting started around 9:06pm today, 16th July 2022.
Reactions
Some people believe that elections is always tense and not easy. Like the late Sir John said that “fear delegates”. So it’s normal for him to feel the pressure.
Others believe that he will not win the elections.
