The Venerable Dormahene, Oseadeayo Agyemang Badu also doubles as a high court judge which is not known by many people. He is very compassionate and many who have had the privilege to meet him or visited his court would attest to this fact. People adore him from afar due to his demeanor and he possesses admirable qualities.
His Lordship Justice Daniel Mensah is a man of integrity and due to his wise judgments has been ‘endorsed’ by a top activist to be the next Chief Justice. There are still good and conscious people in the system who deserve to be appointed to certain positions.
He is not the usual Conservative Ghanaian Judge especially if you look at how he speaks publicly on issues of national development also as a chief.Â
According to Oliver Vormawor Baker, a top activist of the ‘fix the country’ campaign, he nearly shed tears upon seeing how concerned the judge was to a woman who had complained to him not to postpone her case or else she might not live to witness the hearing. The judge soberly apologize by saying “we sit here to do justice and I am sorry if I failed you.”
Per his observations, this is a true character who deserves to lead the highest office of the land as the next Chief Justice.
Skeptics have indicated:that the system or the powers that be will never want to make such a person a leader in the Judiciary to bring the radical reforms that we need because per their orientation, he doesn’t conform to the conventional practice. Whatever the case, may he live long.
