John Painstil’ old picture has surfaced online and people can’t stop talking about it

6th March 1999.

The image above is former black stars’ player,John Paintsil of Berekum PRESEC leading his school at Independence Day Parade.

22nd of March 1999, he was adjudged the best athlete in the Brong Ahafo Inter Schools Athletics Competition. Paintsil joined Ghana U21 that year. Former Fulham, West Ham, Leicester.

Twitter users couldn’t hide their excitement after spotting the size of John’s trouser.

“See trouser. It’s like bed sheet,” said Nana Yaw.Indeed, looking at how the trouser is big, he isn’t wrong compering it to bed sheet.

Another user also added, “Wicked tailor.”

The tailor isn’t wicked though but in the late 90s, that was the fashion trend. Now people love to wear skinny jeans,pants etc.

John Paintsil (born 15 June, 1981) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who was an assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs in the South African Premier Soccer League. He played club football for Berekum Arsenal, Liberty Professionals, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, West Ham United, Fulham, Leicester City, Santos and Maritzburg United as well as internationally for Ghana.
