‘The Church Is Not Mandated To Invest In Any Gospel Musician’ – Socrate Safo

Ghanaian entertainment personality who is also the Director of Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture, Socrate Safo has issued some words out to any gospel musician who thinks churches should do well to invest in their craft.

According to him, it is not the duty of the church to win souls adding that they might choose to help in the finances of gospel musicians, however, it is not their duty to do so people should desist from making such claims.

His submission comes after many Ghanaians, especially gospel musicians expressed their concerns about how the church tends to overlook their craft without putting in any effort to help them.

In his submission, he said;

“I think the church is there to win souls for Christ. That is the only purpose! When God called his apostles, he commissioned them to go and preach and baptize those who will believe? What else are they supposed to do?”
