Paul Adom Otchere embarked on an editorial on the incoming CDD Afro Barometer Report. According to him, the Report indicated that Ghanaians were more interested in issues of Unemployment, Economy, and Infrastructure.
Paul added that the report presented a bad picture of the NPP government because the research took place in March 2022 when the E-levy public discussions made the NDC unpopular. He also added that many Ghanaians were not concerned about issues of Crime, Poverty, and Education due to the extensive work done by the NPP government.
He also indicated that only 29 percent of the respondents agreed to vote for John Mahama whilst 22percent revealed their support for the NPP government.
Paul noted that the NDC should have given a wider gap to the NPP, especially during times when the country is experiencing an economic downtime and at a time when most state heads have become unpopular in their countries. He mentioned that the Report shows that the NDC has more work to do in convincing Ghanaians to vote for them.
Many Ghanaians have reacted as some social media commentators have commended Paul for his analysis. They have agreed with Paul Adom Otchere’s analysis that John Mahama is not an option to vote for in the next elections.
