Trede defeated Kenyasi in their opening game at the Adonko Two Fingers Intercommunity Gala.

Trede, from the Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region, defeated Kenyasi, from the Kwabre District, in the opening match of the ongoing Adonko Two Fingers Intercommunity Gala at Bantama Cocoase Astro Turf, scoring two goals in each half.

Early in the first half, team Trede controlled possession and earned the game’s first corner kick. Trede guarded the west end of the Cocoase AstroTurf, while team Kenyasi defended the east end.

Derrick Baffour Awuah was injured as a consequence of a tackle by Isaac Korankye at the 17-minute mark of the first half on him as he tried to give Kenyasi the lead.

At the 25-minute mark of the first half, Kenyasi’s Issah Mahmond recovered a loose ball from the Trede defence but misfired, in the twentieth minute, after settling into the game, the team wearing a yellow shirt, Kenyasi, grabbed control of the match.

Trede received a corner kick with ten minutes remaining in the first half, and Opoku Mensah converted it. However, the ball deflected off goalie Owusu Bempah Seth, and Trede’s Prince Sarfo quickly reacted to put the rebound in the goal, giving Trede their first goal of the game.

The Trede defence remained concentrated and dedicated to avoid surrendering a goal as Kenyasi roared back with all of its angst to do so.

Agyemang Maxwell, a Division One striker for the Trede team, received the ball from midfield, slid it in at the far right of the goal post, and danced to the Trede music fans to secure their first victory of the competition.

The first game of the day ended with two goals in favour of the side; despite their best efforts, Kenyasi were unable to secure a consolation in their opening match of the competition.
