Cee from Mentor 2 has recounted how and why she missed out on financial support for her schooling.
According to her, the little money she earned from her short stint in music was what influenced her decision not to bother about school.
The gospel singer admitted that once she started making money from her singing, she gave up on her aspirations of becoming a journalist.

She admitted that TV celebrity Emma Morrison offered her a scholarship but she ultimately decided to pursue music instead of academics in an interview with SVTV Africa.
“Emma also registered me to start school, but I had to travel to Europe for some awards. I travelled to Germany, Italy, Holland, etc., and when the money keeps coming you forget everything else. I forgot about the education,” she added.

The singer, whose actual name is Cynthia Appiah Kubi, admits that she occasionally regrets not going back to school since it would have helped her land a better job in the US.
“I regret it sometimes because education helps. There is God’s Grace, but it helps if you have some education attached to it. If I had a university degree at least, I would have joined a company here. There are many Ghanaians with businesses here.”
Cee is currently employed by a daycare facility run by a Ghanaian. Cee claims that while she has attempted to promote her music in Ghana, it hasn’t been simple. She admitted that she currently lacks management support at her job.
