A popular and leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Collins Owusu Amankwaa has finally exposed issues in their internal elections. He reveals that an issue currently going on in their internal elections is very scary. The former member of Parliament also sent a bold message to the party members and aspirants.
While speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Collins Owusu Amankwaa revealed that there is money in their ongoing internal elections and it’s very scary for the democracy of the party. He revealed that some aspirants have mounted sign boards like they are looking for AU President. He then continued to admonish the party members and aspirants to ensure that they stay united so that they can beat the NDC in 2024.
“ Some aspirants are pushing money into our internal elections and for me, it’s very bad. Monetization of our internal elections is very scary to our democracy. Democracy for sale? It’s more scary than anything in this world. Some NPP aspirants are mounting billboards like they are contesting for AU President. Those things are all not important. It’s just an internal election. Let’s remember to say united and know that breaking the eight is the ultimate goal of the party and we should work towards that.” Collins Owusu Amankwaa boldly revealed this on Peace FM.
The New Patriotic Party will be electing its National Executives this month from 15th July to 17 July. It is to this, that Mr. Collins was speaking.
