Can You Look Into My Eyes And Tell Me To Be An Upright Citizen – Johnnie Hughes Serves Strong Notice

Host of New Day show on TV3, Johnnie Hughes has served a strong notice to some men of God who have ‘ignored’ the wellbeing of Ghanaians and rather concentrate on the construction of the National Cathedral.

Speaking on Johnnie’s Bite show this morning, Johnnie Hughes revealed that the men of God who are now board of trustees of the National Cathedral project seem to have forgotten or fail to practice what they usually preach in their churches. Johnnie Hughes added that these pastors cannot look into his eyes and tell him to be an upright citizen when they themselves are not.

Johnnie Hughes explained his point and made it clear that as a man of God, your first duty is to make sure that citizens are always in good condition. He added that being an upright citizen means that putting the government at its right path but these pastors seem to do the opposite.

We have men of God in this country supervising this. So those same Papa and Mama who are the men of God we value and cherish are seeing wrong and are not saying it. I saw a documentary flying around.

When I sit in front of them in the chapel or in the church and they are preaching a sermon about being an upright citizen, can they look me in the eye and preach to me. You tell me to be honest but you don’t do the same” he said.
