The former Chief of Defense Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier General (Rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah wants to know from the government whether they are crazy or there’s something wrong with them.
According to Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah, Ghanaians are hungry, they cannot even afford kenkey and this he says may trigger the rise of another Rawlings who will cause a bigger mess than Rawlings did in trying to save the situation.
To him, how can the citizens be hungry and go through all rhese hardships in the country and government officials will be riding in expensive cars?It does not make sense, and this he says must be looked at to avoid any unfortunate event.
“If people are hungry ….. I get calls … people are hungry” citing the Arise Ghana Demo as an instance, he says it’s not a small issue.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah says the government is siphoning money to buy flashy cars to ride, and says there will be more Land Cruisers in Accra more than you will find in Tokyo which should not be the case.
But he says when government behaves like that, the youth will definitely react, and this reaction may not augur well for the government, however, government should know that it has caused it when it happens.
