A lot of Ghanaians has already reacted to the story of Ghana going in for an IMF loan to a country to which NPP members believe it’s a source of fund to help increase developmental projects in the country.
Amidst the worries NPP members are going through with the IMF bailout, On submission on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Collins Owusu Amankwaah revealed that the NPP as a party never said they are against the IMF but it was just some people who shared their opinions. Even though a lot of Ghanaians have already shown to be against the NPP party but still he revealed that the 2024 elections will not be about who went to IMF or not but who performed better and he thinks the NPP has done better than the NDC and so they will be the winner of the 2024 elections.
After this case got viral online, Ghanaians have taken it on the suggestion to which that going to IMF is part of the conduct that proves good governance, even though going to IMF has not been the wish of the NPP but to foster their developmental projects in Ghana, they need many funds to do.
He emphatically stated that “ Nobody can scare us in this country because we are going to the IMF for an economic bailout. There is nothing wrong with that because the NPP as a party has never said we are against going to the IMF. No matter the IMF Brouhaha, we will still win the 2024 elections because Ghanaians will know at the end of the day that we have performed better than the NDC. So the 2024 elections are going to be interesting here. It’s as simple as that.” Collins Owusu Amankwaah boldly revealed this on Peace FM.
