Funeral rites are the last rites performed to lay a dead person to rest. Its organizational structure varies amongst ethnic groups. Every appears to have their own system for organizing things.
In most of the ethnic groups in Ghana, the dead body is prepared to be laid in state in some so that mourners may pay their respects to the deceased.
The deceased is typically clothed according to their occupation and placed to rest in that manner. We have witnessed some instances where a dead person is forced to stand while holding a microphone in his or her hand just so people may know he or she was a musician.
Today, a picture is trending on social media and it has gotten a lot of people talking. A dead man has been laid in state during his funeral in a way which has marvelled a lot of people.
He has been made to stand and dressed in way which speculate that he might have been a “gangster” when he was alive.
