Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana youth international Michael Anaba has joined Lithuanian A Lyga side Kauno Zalgiris after ending his stay with Atzeneta Unio Esportiva in Spain.
Anaba, 28, has joined the Lithuanian top-flight side on a one year deal with an option to extend for a further year.
The much travelled Anaba, will look to revive his once blistering career that saw him win the Ghana Premier League, GPL title with Asante Kotoko in the 2012/13 season.
He joined the Porcupines from then Division One outfit Windy Professionals and, went on to play for Ghana at U-20 level.
Anaba, has played in Spain for years, first joining Elche CF in 2013, and has also played for CA Alcoyano, CD Eldense and Ontinyent CF.
The former Ghana youth international has also played in Uruguay for top-flight side Sud America.
He will hope for good fortune in Lithuania with his new club and bring his career back and track and perhaps, be considered for national call-ups again.
Kauno Zalgiris play their home games at the 500-capacity Darius and Girenas Stadium in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Anaba was a member of the Ghana squad that competed in the 2013 African U-20 championships in Algeria where the Black Satellites finished second in the tournament.
He also featured later that year in the U-20 World Cup in Turkey where Ghana placed third after beating Iraq 3-0 in a playoff.Â
