Why Ghanaians are bashing UTV on Social Media.

United Showbiz is an entertainment program hosted by Nana Ama McBrown on United Television every Saturday evening. The show has garnered a huge following over the years. But in recent times, viewers of the show have expressed dissatisfaction with the program over the manner it is conducted and the kind of panellists invited for the show. They are claiming the show is losing its relevance as a result of recent happenings on the show.

Afia Schwarzenegger was one of the panellists on the show yesterday evening. During the show, the quarrel between Afia and Chairman Wontumi came up for discussion. Afia got the chance to tell her side of the story. This was what displeased most viewers. They were of the view that the issues shouldn’t have come up for discussion in the first place.

Also for fairness’ sake, they were of the view that Chairman Wontumi should have been present or have a representative on the show to clarify things. Afia took all the time and talked about everything she wanted to talk about which can’t be verified. I also think that topic shouldn’t have been discussed at all. Other things of utmost importance should be discussed to move the entertainment industry forward.
