Fixthecountry Conveynor Oliver Barker-Vormawor following the Sri Lankans massive demonstration that has forced their president to give a resignation date has quizzed whether Ghanaians are less humans than the Sri Lankans.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, 10th July 2022, he wrote that 100,000 people demonstrated in Colombo, a city of 2 million.Â
“The Presidential Palace was reclaimed by and for the people. The President was evacuated and now signals his intention, just like the Prime Minister, to resign for a new all party government to be formed to deal with the ongoing crisis.” He added.
He argued that not a single person was killed by their Police or their Military. None of them were fired upon. When human lives matter to a culture, they don’t kill them anyhow.Â
“Less than 100 people demonstrated in Ejura, we killed them. Are Ghanaians less human than Sri Lankans?” Oliver Barker asked.
Oliver has been campaigning against police brutalities.
Following the Sri Lankans demonstration, the President said he will resign on coming Wednesday and the Prime Minister has also annouced that he will resign.
