The Vice President at IMANI Africa, Selorm Branttie has quizzed if it is actually true that the death of a protestor at Nkoranza was a brain tumor as revealed by police statement.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on 7th July 2022, Selorm asked that; “Is it true that the cause of death of a protestor at the Nkroanza demo was a brain tumor? Which doctor did that? And people think the Police can be trusted with such lies?”
The IMANI Vice President also added that we need to get serious in this Ghana about the police and their penchant to brutalize citizens unnecessarily.Â
“The buck falls directly on the IGP for this egregious level of dishonesty. His leadership can do better than be tainted so horribly.” Selorm said.
He argued that If this was the modus operandi in the past it shouldn’t be countenanced. He alleged that that, the police kill innocent people and brand the victims as thieves to cover up their excesses and sometimes crimes.
“One day, it would be one of us, and we will lose family for someones trigger happy carelessness.” He concluded.
