Ghana football news highlights –

A lot have been going on with regards to the sporting front in Ghana. After the footballing season is over, many issues have emerged.

GHALCA are to hold a meeting to decide whether to play a top 4 or top 6 competition. The body wants to use the tournament to prepare participating teams for next season. The date scheduled and number of teams to play in the tournament will be decided at the meeting.

Following a quite poor season last year, Accra Hearts of Oak believes that they didn’t have adequate preseason before the start of the league. So the team thinks boycotting either the top 4 or top six tournament will give the players enough time to rest and prepare for next season.

GFA are reportedly not happy with comments made by Kotoko midfielder, Richard Boadu “Agadas”. The player in an interview at Wontumi Sports stated that, reigning goal king Yaw Annor, was deliberately allowed to score easy goals in sone matches.

The player was made to retract his comments by the host, yet the allegation is considered as serious by the football association.

Yaw Annor is now officially an Ismaily player. The pacy striker has signed a five year contract with the Egyptian outfit.
