Radio personality Dr Pounds has mocked singer Ofori Amponsah for giving him a fake prophecy when he visited his church years ago after he became a man of God and turned into a new creature in the lord.
Ofori Amponsah, a protege of Highlife great Daddy Lumba shocked Ghanaians when he shunned music and became a man of God after which he established his own church immediately.
Before that, Ofori was arguably the hottest musician of his era, with several awards to his credit. However, he put it all behind him and started his new life as an evangelist.
And then came another bombshell- the singer made a u-turn a few years later and said he was no longer interested in the pastoral direction his life was heading towards. He subsequently told reporters that he was not a pastor because God never ordained him.

His friend Kofi B of blessed memory even mocked him in a radio interview and made fun of his situation back in 2018 saying; “I laughed when he said he had become a pastor.
He was after their offertories and tithes. I met one of his members and dared him that if the church lasted for more than a year, he should come for money”.

As far as this report is concerned, Dr Pounds said he visited Ofori’s church for prayers and after an intense prayer session, he told him that his elder brother in the United States will extend an invitation to him.
Pounds said the prophecy was fake because he never had any brother in the US.
