The unfortunate of a leaked viral video by an NIA staff has been linked to John Dramani Mahama and Ata Mills era in government. The unfortunate of the video saw thousands of Ghana Cards getting rotten. Yesterday, this video actually angered a lot of Ghanaians on social media.
The National Identification Authority has clarified that the leaked viral video of some thousands of rotting Ghana Cards were actually designed between 2008 and 2014 ( Thats during John Evans Ata Mills and John Dramani Mahama’s time as President)
If Ghanaians will recall, its the National Democratic Congress under John Dramani Mahama and John Evans Ata Mills that introduced and launched the Ghana Card in 2008. Unfortunately, due to lack of ideas and incompetence, they couldn’t make the initiative active.
After piloting the Ghana Card in some selected regions, they couldn’t even decode the bars as they kept them to rot at the National Identification Authority Headquarters.
The press release by the NIA proves that the current administration have no link in the video which surfaced in regards to the rotting Ghana Cards.
Well, now that we’ve gotten to know the truth, can we push authorities to launch causing financial loss to the state tate charges? Yes, because NDC used billions of Ghana cedis to make those Cards and left them to rot.
God bless Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for making sure that Ghana Card is working in Ghana.
