“I Didn’t Take Salaries For 10 Months in Italy” -Ghana Striker

Ghana striker, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom says he was not paid ten months salaries at Italian club, Latina.

The 29-year-old joined the lower tier side after spending a fruitful season at Atalanta but Latina went bankrupt afterwards.

“When I left Atalanta, a Serie B club, Latina offered a good deal we could not reject.

“I didn’t think twice about the deal when my agent contacted me.

“But if you follow money in football you sometimes make mistakes, the club I joined [Latina] went bankrupt.

“For 10 months, I was not on salaries and it became difficult to get a new club because I didn’t play many games.

“I had to start from below up and fortunately I joined Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.” Boakye Yiadom told Radio Gold Sports.

Boakye Yiadom has had a roller coaster career having played for five different clubs in Italy top ones like Juventus, Atalanta and Sassuolo.

He has had a loan stint at Spanish club, Elche and spells in Poland, Serbia and China.
