A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has now beak silence after it became official for Ghana to seek help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Many Ghanaians have been waiting for his reply as he is the one who gave the hint on Government going for help due to the failure of revenue expected from the E-levy implementation.
Otchere Darko has taken it to the internet to express how useful and wise enough for the government to seek help from the IMF. He went ahead to claim this act from the Government might win the Party’s election in 2024.
“If @JDMahama and the NDC are happy because NPP going to the IMF now is what will deliver NDC victory in Dec 2024 then they better think again. It rather takes pressure off the Akufo-Addo Government to focus on things that will impact positively on the economy over the next 15 months,” he tweeted. Otchere Darko really thinks this one of the best decisions this government has made as it is the right time to seek that help.
