Ga Homowo cup match: Nungua beat Teshie 2-1 to claim 2022 bragging rights

Nungua town eleven defeated their Teshie counterparts 2-1 in a highly contentious game on Saturday afternoon to win the first leg of their annual commutative festive encounter.

Playing at home to mark their annual festival celebrations, the Nungua side played a highly determined game to win this encounter after some stubborn opposition from their neighbours.

The win, sets the Nungua township up for a grand festive occasion as they celebrate their annual yearly festival.

This was a game the Nungua side dominated and, they could have won by a higher margin if their strikers had reminded cool in front of goal.

As the Nungua township celebrates their yearly festival, this victory over their noisey neighbours, will cushion them up for some joyous celebrations.

The visitors, Teshie, opened the scoring when Manasseh Appiah scored inside the first 15 minutes but, Nungua got the equalizer through Emmanuel Nettey to end the session even 

Nungua, responded in the second half, and, they found the winner late in the game when defender Seth Sowah, converted a cross into his own net to hand the Krowor lads the win as the game ended 2-1 in favour of the home side.
