The President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has been urged by Johnnie Hughes to come and address the nation on various national trending issues.
According to Johnnie Hughes, the President has addressed ECOWAS, United Nations and other international organizations but has failed to address his own country. Johnnie Hughes added that there are a lot of crisis in the country but the head of the nation is no where to be seen. He is therefore urging the president to address the nation on various trending issues as soon as possible.
“Why has President NAkufoAddo not addressed the people he begged to lead? There is crisis at home and the family head cannot be seen? Our President has addressed UN, ECOWAS, etc and not his own people. Mr. President, raise your body and give us one” he said.
This comes after the president instructed the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta to begin negotiation talks with the International Monetary Fund(IMF). The country’s economic performance is below “standard” and for that matter there is the need to go for financial support from the IMF.
Government introduced the e-levy to help sustain the economy but reports and statistics showed that the e-levy revenue is below what was expected. Due to this, the Akuffo Addo government had no option that to visit IMF for help.
