The video which saw some National Democratic Congress (NDC) members praising the MP for employing the services of a contractor to reshape the Sekesua – Osonson road.
This caught the attention of members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who has also taken social media to expose the lies peddled by the NDC saying the particular road in question has already been given out to a contractor to construct the road to aid conveyance of farm produce to the various markets in the Upper Manya Krobo District.
In an interview, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Joe Sam clarified that he has already given out the contract and had therefore instructed the contractor to move some equipments to reshape the road for commuters to use while they await the commencement of the entire contract.
“I wonder why people will choose to ask a pregnant woman out on a date” he said proverbially adding that, the NDC are noted for such lies and that he’s not surprised at these happenings.
The constituency organizer of the NPP Michael Kwadwo Ogbordjor, in an interview noted that, for the past years the NDC Upper Manya Krobo had developed a habit of lying to the electorates about projects and policies implemented by the NPP.
He said this time around the new executive of the party will not tolerate such lies which has over the years retarded the growth of the district referring to the 2020 elections when the NDC went round telling electorates that the incumbent MP at the time Hon. Joseph Tetteh had died.
Meanwhile the MP, Hon. Bismark Nyarko Tetteh was heard on Rite FM, a radio station located in Somanya in the Eastern Region saying that the road in question was given out through his lobbying; this the NPP said is an outmost lie and pure deceit by the Member of Parliament.
