[PHOTOS] Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Is Currently Building Africa’s Biggest Indoor Market

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is currently building Africa’s biggest indoor market where it is gradually taking shape in the capital town of the Ashanti Region.

The extravagant Kumasi Central Market Phase 2 will feature over 15,000 shops, 6,500 market spaces to lease, 5,400 cold stores, 800 kiosks, and 50 restaurants respectively.

It also houses 210 stalls for fishmongers and butchers, 40 livestock stalls, a police station, fire station, post office, and a hospital among others as well as 44,594m2 parking spots for cars and vans.

The mega project is estimated to cost US $278m and will be the biggest single market in Africa upon completion in 2024. The project is one of the prolific edifices been marshaled by the Nana Addo-led administration.

It’s in line with the numerous political promises made to the people of the Ashanti Region during the heats of the 2020 presidential elections.

It will go a long way to house many traders and buyers with the comfort they duly deserve.
