The National Communication Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Adade reacts to the failure of the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) and says he will not agree with those who claim the tax has failed.
According to Ernest Adade, the expenditure of a country declines when there are insufficient funds in the country and all is due to economic factors.
Ernest Adade said the economic factors have made the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) seem to fail but it has not because a Ghanaian who wishes to transfer money to his or her relative will hold back the cost he or she intends.
Since the economic factors are making the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) seems to fail as Ghanaians are not able to earn what they expect, Ernest Adade then said he disagrees with the people who claim the tax has failed and it can not generate the expected revenue for the government.
