Presenter and host of New Day show, Johnnie Hughes has sent a bold message to the Ghana Police service following the Arise Ghana demonstration.
Speaking on Johnnie’s Bite this morning, Johnnie Hughes revealed that the Ghana Police service should make sure that they arrest police officers who failed to go by their own rules. He explained this and revealed that some police officers threw stones at the demonstrators who were protesting. He added that the Ghana Police Service even hired some men to be among the protestors so that they can start the violence with the police service.
“That’s fair. But you see the police man who also collected the man’s camera and hit it on the ground. You see the police man in the armored vehicle who was holding whatever and aiming. I want you also, Ghana Police, keep to the principle, find them. If they have to be interdicted, interdict them” he said
Johnnie Hughes showed a picture of a man who he believed was hired by the Ghana Police Service to start causing troubles at the demonstration grounds.
Johnnie Hughes is therefore urging the Ghana Police Service to do the needful and arrest the police officers as well.
This comes after some 29 persons were arrested by the Ghana Police Service following their violent behavior towards the Ghana Police officers.
