The talented Al-Sad midfielder has been in great shape after several club successes and Black Stars appearance. Though he was given a red card in the group stages of the 2021 AfCON tournament leading to his Inability to play in the Ghana-Nigeria play-offs, he still managed to get back to the current Black Stars squad and is doing extremely well as the captain of the side.
Dede Ayew is on his way to break Asamoah Gyan’s record should he make it to the Qatar 2022 to be hosted in Arabian country later this year.
After making 107 appearances for the Black Stars of Ghana, he will beat Asamoah Gyan’s record if he manages to make three more appearances for the senior national team of Ghana.
At the moment, Gyan has made 109 appearances for the Black Stars and if Dede Ayew appears in the upcoming AfCON qualifiers between Ghana and Angola, he would have equalled the 109 appearances.
In view of this fact, he will be set to break the record of Asamoah Gyan after he appears in the first 2022 World Cup encounter between Ghana and Portugal on November 24 2022 to make his 110th appearance for the Black Stars.
