According to information gathered by Nana Ampadu Khelly,Lionel Messi requested for Sadio Mane to be added to the Barcelona squad for him to consider extending his contract.
This information was made public by the agent of Lionel Messi who goes by the name Bacary Cisse. In a recent disclosure made by Bacary Cisse, he made it clear that one of the conditions Messi gave before leaving the club was the inclusion of the Senegalese captain.

Adding to this disclosure, Bacary said as Messi’s Barcelona deal was about to be squashed upon his exit from the club, he personally requested that, either Sadio Mane or an Argentinian central defender who the agent refused to name, to be added to the Barcelona squad before he agrees to extend the contract tenure.
According to Bacary Cisse, the Spanish club’s inability to comply with Messi’s conditions for a contract extension was one of the reasons he left Barcelona to play for PSG the next season.
