Survey: More Than 50 Percent Of The Youth Think That The Country Is Moving In The Right Direction

A vast majority of the critics of the Nana Addo led administration are members from the opposition National Democratic Congress. There has been minute cases of internal NPP members slamming Nana Addo. The question is, how do the neutrals and floating voters see Nana Addo? This case study will be based on the youth since most of them have not fully engaged themselves in Ghanaian politics.

A founding member of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere Darko, has shared some results and facts from the African Youth Survey made this year. The survey was done in some 15 Africa countries. The simple question which the youth were asked was, “Which direction do they think their country was moving?; Right Direction or Wrong Direction”

And the results were outstanding in favor of the ruling government. More than 50 percent but less than 75 percent of the youth who were surveyed believed that the country was in the right direction. This is what Gabby Otchere Darko said about it.

“We may continue to bash our own country, its leadership and its direction, but, from this scientific survey, it is clear from our own youth that’s the leadership of Ghana are governing with a firm eye on the future”
