A popular member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Agyepong who also happens to be a former general secretary of the NPP has finally revealed a big secret about general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Asiedu Nkeiah over insults in Ghana’s politics.
While speaking on Good Evening Ghana on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Kwabena Agyepong revealed that Asiedu Nketiah first introduced insults in Ghana Politics. He mentioned that before the 2008 elections, there were no insults in our politics until Asiedu Nketiah called the 17 NPP Presidential aspirants a bunch of thieves.
“ You know in Ghana, we are mostly decent and respect each other. That was also the situation in our politics before the 2008 elections. During our internal elections, we had 17 aspirants who wanted to be Presidential Candidates and that made Asiedu Nketiah call all the 17, a bunch of thieves. When I heard that, I quickly called him to tell him that he was wrong and didn’t have to say that. After that, Sir John also decided to go tow to tow with him and that’s why we see a lot of insults in our politics today. For me, I always say Asiedu Nketiah gave birth to insults in politics.” Kwabena Agyepong boldly revealed this on Good Evening Ghana.
