Dag Heward Mills and the Lighthouse Chapel have filed a lawsuit against their bishop Larry Odonkor for allegedly stealing a Toyota land cruiser that belonged to the church, according to Joynews and Fourth Estate Media sites.
Further research and evidence suggested that resigning Bishop Larry Odonkor neither stole nor sold the automobile. However, once Larry had left for Ghana, it was his assistant Bishop Edmund Amartey who sold the vehicle.
According to reports, a female church leader testified before the courts that Bishop Edmund Amartey did, in fact, sell the car and pay the proceeds into the church’s account.
The Lighthouse Chapel never talked to resigning Bishop Larry Odonkor about the lost car to avoid giving him a poor reputation. According to reports, they sued him and sent a summons to him in Ghana via DHL. DHL, indeed. That was how his downfall was planned and pursued by the cruel religion he served.
A preacher from Lighthouse Chapel stole a car, and the news was picked up by numerous media sources in Ghana. That was untrue. Last but not least, the court-mandated that Dag Heward Mills and the Lighthouse Chapel cover all costs and expenses related to resigned Bishop Larry Odonkor.
Many people have suggested that Larry Odonkor file a counterclaim for defamation of character against Dag Heward Mills and the Lighthouse Chapel. Some, nevertheless, are also telling him that the Lord exacts justice.
