They took to get streets to demonstrate in showing their objectionable quest to the president’s promise made to the youth on employment the youth in that area in conjunction with the numerous mining companies scattered on the rich in gold deposit Obuasi township.
They are demanding part of the abandoned concession given to the community by Anglo Gold Ashanti (AGA) For community mining.
The local authorities working for the mine are refusing to release the place to them. Something they have agreed themselves be given to the community, they are then Calling on the president to intervene immediately.
Ghanaians with their comments believe the Nana Addo-led government has failed the youth and the entire Ghanaian masses as unemployment surged to its highest height.

• But we were told Akufo-Addo had reopened the mines and cleared all the unemployment issues there. Well, they say when your mother is dead and you claim she is only sick, when the corpse starts decaying we will hear the smell.
• How can pro-NPP communities be crying for unemployment? They should go to Akufo Addo.
• Were you not the same people who were making cacophony that [4more4Nana] you know to see anything yet. You people are even lucky to get drinking water. Thank your God and stop making unnecessary noise.
• As they are demonstrating, if they should see the president’s convoy they will tell him their lives are better than 8 years ago, these youths are our problem in this country called Ghana. We sing beautiful praises to people we are supposed to demand accountabilities from. We are not angry enough so they take us for granted.
