The new Real Madrid player, Antonio Rüdiger, was presented to the press on Monday. During this traditional ceremony, the German international defender unveiled the backstage of his arrival.

The former Chelsea player has revealed to the outlet that it was his former Blues team-mate Mateo Kovakic who pushed him to join the 14-time Champions League winners.

I haven’t talked too much with Kroos from Real Madrid. I spoke more with Kovaci because he often talks with Modri. He said to me: “Go ahead and enjoy it a lot; it’s a big step for you.” I’ve never heard anyone speak ill of Real Madrid, “Rüdiger said.”

As a reminder, the Croatian international wore the colors of Real Madrid for three seasons before joining Chelsea during the 2018 summer transfer window.
