The member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Honorable Sam Nartey George has raised series of questions on whether the Tema ICT Park has been sold.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, on Tuesday 21st June 2022 he wrote;
“GHANA
Has the Tema ICT Park been sold off? Who are those behind the buying the park? Sale? Lease? Private interests?
Which asset is ever going to be safe from state plunder and capture? “
Background
The Government of Ghana in 2015 entered into a $260 million partnership agreement with the Government of Mauritius to develop the Tema Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Park into an ICT Centre for Ghana and countries in the West African sub-region.
Recently the Ghanaian populace have raised concerns on many states lands and properties purpoted to have been sold to individuals.
Following the leakage of NPP’S late Sir John’s WILL, many people have asserted that the Achimota Forest has been sold. His WILL stated that he has gift a portion of his nephew forever.
Again the Efua Sutherland childrens park came under public lime light as people alleged that it has been sold off.
