Ashanti Region Division Two: Asekem FC plays Pro Players Academy for DOL spot on Thursday

Asekem FC will play Pro Players Academy for a place in the National Division One League, DOL next season on Thursday.

The game will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and, it will be the grand finale of the Ashanti regional Division Two Middle League currently ongoing in the Garden City.

Asekem FC topped Group A with seven points from the three matches they played in a pool that also involved Benab FC, Ebony FC and First Klass FC.

After the round-robin contest, Asekem FC finished ahead of Ebony FC who had six points, Benab FC, (three points) and First Klass FC who had a point to advance to the final.

In Group B, Pro Players Academy won all their games against Kumawuman United, Jachie United and Natcosta FC to close the campaign with nine points.

Kumawuman United with six points and Jachie United with three points, finished second and third on the table with Natcosta FC ending the series with no point from the three matches they played.

Thursday’s final between Asekem FC and Pro Players Academy will therefore determine which side makes it to the DOL next season.

The Baba Yara Stadium will be the center of attraction as two very good sides battle for a spot in the DOL Zone Two league.
