Ghanaian-Dutch born forward, Memphis Depay has paid a courtesy call to the Asantehene, Otumfour Osei-Tutu, the king of the Ashanti Kingdom on his visit to Ghana.Â
The euphoria on his arrival to the Ashanti-land was an eye-saw.Â
Memphis took the chance to present a signed jersey of his to the King.Â
The visit is part of the Barcelona’s star man way of paying his respect to his father’s homeland.Â
His visit is among the several trips of him to Africa and Ghana to be precised.Â
Memphis’ coming to Ghana has seen the player given so much to help the less privileged in our society.Â
Further, the Dutchman also as a way of the newly Champions of the Ghana Premier, Asante Kotoko, he took time to interact with the management body as well as the entire players.Â
His visit to the Kumasi based club gave both the management body and the players the chance to ask him(Depay) questions and other important issues.Â
The Asante Kotoko players had photo sessions with the star.
The forward is expected to do more charity work in the country before travelling to Spain to join the Spanish giant,Barcelona to begin the preseason tour and subsequently the Laliga season for 2022/2023.Â
His visit will be one that will create an indelible mark in the minds of the blind-school learners that he donated to.Â
