The popularly known Ghanaian broadcast journalist and editor-in-chief for Insight newspapers have recently done the unexpected after he exposed the incumbent government again over another Ghc54 million brouhaha.
Speaking in a recent interview on the “Alhaji and Alhaji” show on Pan African Television, Kwesi Pratt expressed his immense disappointment in the Akufo Addo government aside from revealing serious secrets behind the most talked-about National Cathedral project amongst others.
“Upon all the virgin lands, they selected a place where a foreign embassy was pulled down; that’s where they decided to go and build a Cathedral. There was a building there allegedly worth more than Ghc50 million; they are asking for Ghc54 million in compensation. Our leaders and all the ArchBishops and so on selected the land which had a building worth Ghc54 million, pulled down the building to build a Cathedral. There were modern buildings there that were less than 3 years old; housing Court of Appeal Justices and Supreme Court judges, they pulled all of them down. They even pulled down the passport office to build a cathedral and God is happy with this? The God that I was taught in Sunday School will never move into a Cathedral like this. people of Ghana had demonstrated small anger at what I’d happening, nobody would dare do what is happening”, Kwesi Pratt emphatically revealed.
