Black Sherif has said the small success he has achieved in the industry despite his short stint has given him the belief that he can do anything he sets his eyes on.
His comments come shortly after he became the first Ghanaian to hit 100m streams on the digital streaming platform Boomplay. So remarkable is his achievement that he took to social media to revel in his win.
Significantly it took him just a short time to pull this unprecedented achievement, thereby an enviable club of other African artistes who have also hit 100m streams and more.
Sherif joins Sherif the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Diamond Platinumz, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Omah Lay and Rayvanny who have all hit over 100m streams.
The serial hitmaker posted;
Reaching 100 million streams on Boomplay in such a short time and being the first Ghanaian artist to achieve this feat is a big deal to me. As a young kid from Konongo, who only had a dream and a voice, this brings me to the realisation that I can achieve any and everything so long as I believe and dare myself to take action. Big love to the Boomplay team for putting me on from day one till now.
Boomplay- is a media streaming and download service developed by Transsnet Limited.
Relatively, Lade has spoken highly of Ghanaian rapper and singer Black Sherif and has said she is looking forward to working with him in a fresh interview published by YEN Ghana.
The budding artiste from Nigeria whose Adulthood Anthem has become so popular on social media said she has taken notice of young talents from Ghana who are doing great.
She said since she is an emerging artiste, her focus on GH artistes revolves around the young ones like Black Sherif and the likes. Lade whose real name is Oyetundun Omoladé Rachael has also hinted that she will love to work with Black Sherif, Gyakie, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
“I listen to Sarkodie. Black Sherif is bosting my head. He’s an amazing artist. I listen to Gyakie as well. Stonebwoy too, YEN quoted her.
“There’s just something about their sound. I feel like if we do a song together, straight hit. Inbox. You don’t have to think about it. They’re amazing,” Lade said.
Speaking on Shatta Wale, Lade said although the SM boss is also a very popular artiste in Nigeria, she is not into his music because she only follows the younger ones.
