Benjamin Azamati won the gold medal in the men’s 100m in the Paris Diamond League.

Ghanaian sprinter Benjamin Azamati won the gold medal in the men’s 100m in the Paris Diamond League.

Azamati set a time of 10.25 seconds and finished ahead of France’s Mouhamadou Fall and Jimmy Vicaut.

However, Ghanaian sprinter Sean Safo-Antwi finished sixth with a time of 10.45 seconds.

Azamati’s victory time was slower than his last race in Oslo, where he finished fourth with a record of 10.15 seconds.

Former University of Ghana student also competes in the 200m and meets Olympic champion Andre De Grasse.

Azamati has done the country soo proud by lifting up high the flag of the Republic of Ghana soo high.

We use this opportunity to tell the leaders of our sports ministry to give equal attention to all sports in the country and not only football. As any other sports if given the right attention can raise the flag of Ghana high.
