Joy News, one of Ghana’s most authentic news platform has thrown a question to Ghanaians about the National Cathedral project. The media house wants to know if Ghanaians support the idea of building the National Cathedral or they prefer it to be built later when the economic conditions are stable or they prefer the project to come to a stop.

From the reactions above, most Ghanaians prefer the National Cathedral project to come to an end. They believe that building a Cathedral in this hard economy won’t be the best for the country. Others also supported the idea of building the Cathedral but with funds from private individuals. Others also supported the idea of building the Cathedral no matter the source of its funding.
The issue surrounding the National Cathedral project started when Okudzeto Ablakwa, Mp for North Tongu constituency brought out some documents to expose the amount of cash government has spent on the project despite promising Ghanaians that the project would be funded privately. In his documents, it showed that government has spent an amount close to ¢200 million on the project.
