Ghanaian actress, Andrea Owusu popularly known as Efia Odo has said Ghana gained independence too early.
In a post sighted on Twitter, Efia Odo has stated that a black man should never be given power.
She explained that a black man when given power will misuse it.
“We gained our independence too early! Never give a black man power, he’ll just misuse it,” she said.
Ghana on March 6, 1957 got its independence. The first Prime Minister of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who became the Head of Government from 1957 to 1960, declared to the people of Ghana their freedom on the 6th of March, 1957. He added that, “the African People are capable of managing their own affairs and Ghana our beloved country is free forever. Ghana was the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to achieve its independence from European colonial rule. Every 6th March Ghana celebrate independence day.
