Former Manchester United winger and Netherlands international Memphis Depay has paid a courtesy call on the first gentleman of the land, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo at the Flagstaff House.
The current Barcelona’s forward has been in Ghana for a couple of times. Even though he is a Dutch legally but he is also a Ghanaian through his lineage, his father is a Ghanaian but his mother is a Dutch.
Memphis Depay normally comes to Ghana when he is on holidays and this time he decided to meet the President of Ghana at his residence. During his visit to the Flagstaff House he presented his Barcelona’s Jersey to the President. He was also seen having a handshake with the President.
Pictures of his visitation was posted by the President on his Facebook platform just this morning.
Memphis Depay can be said to be an agent of change in the Ghanaian society. He has been contributing to the Ghanaian society through his charitable works. He is in the country to spend some holidays but he might also be here to do charity as well.
