If You Want Your Questions To Be Answered, Don’t Add Covid To It – MP Serves Notice To Members

The member of parliament for Bongo constituency in the Upper East region, Honorable Edward Abambire Bawa has served a notice in parliament concerning how questions are being answered there.

Speaking in parliament this afternoon, the MP revealed that he has been asking one key question about to the Minister of Health for the past three months but has received no answer from him. He added that even though the question is always part of the business statement in parliament, they keep postponing it.

Due to this, the MP revealed to his fellow colleague MPs that if they want their questions to be answered in parliament, they should not add the word “covid” to it.

Mr. Speaker, I have realised that if you want your questions to be admitted, never add the word [covid] to it. If you want your question to be answered, don’t add covid to it.”

I say this because, about two to three months ago, i filed a question with regards to some procurements processes that have gone on with the ministry of health. The question was scheduled and I got a call from the table office that they have brought the wrong response to the question and therefore they were rescheduling it” he said.
