Manasseh Azure is a seasoned journalists who loves to speak about critical issues happening in the country. He has made a statement about Adwoa Safoa saying she will be paid ex-gratia for being a member of parliament.
Adwoa is the member of parliament for the people of Dome Kwabrenya. She is also a cabinet minister. For a long while, she has not been in the country hence has not set a foot at the parliament house. Many efforts by the parliament of Ghana to contact her to answer some questions has proven futile.
Manasseh made a post on his social media with a picture of Adwoa Safo and said, “She is paid salary. She will be paid ex-gratia. And she’ll not be attacked like Togbe Afede if she doesn’t return the ex-gratia.” All members of parliament are entitled to an ex-gratia at the end of their four years of service. This means Adwoa Safo will also be paid as long as she is a member of parliament.
