Adwoa Sarfo Will Be Paid Ex Gratia And Will Not Be Attacked If She Doesn’t Return It-Manasseh Azure

Investigative Journalist and Editor of the Fourth Estate news outlet, Manasseh Azure says that, just like any other article 71 office holder, Honorable Sarah Adwoa Sarfo would be paid ex gratia and she would not be attacked if she decides not to return it to the State.

He says, unlike Togbe Afede who was vehemently criticized by a section of the media for returning his ex gratia to the State, the lawmaker would experience none of that.

He reiterated this view on his Facebook page today, June 16, 2022, with an image of “jubilant” Sarah Adwoa Sarfo.

“She’s paid a salary. She’ll be paid ex gratia” he wrote.

This view appears to be an indirect rebuttal to his colleague Journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere, who has strongly criticized Togbe Afede and accused him of engaging in propaganda to make the current administration unpopular.

The duo has been “clashing” over some topical matters for some time now.

Honorable Sarah Adwoa Sarfo has been referred to the Privileges Committee by the Speaker of Parliament for absenteeism and all efforts by the Committee to engage her have proved futile.

Indeed, she continues to take salaries and all other benefits due her.

Does Manasseh have a point?
