Accra-Tema Motorway: Those Who Do Not Know What Is Happening Here Should Keep Quiet: Roads Minister

The state of Roads in Ghana promises to be good year after year and even though we see some good roads, most Ghanaians do not see it as good enough since so much money goes into road construction only for the majority of these roads to last from one to at most four years and they go back to its former state or even worse than that.

In recent times the Tema motorway has been undergoing some reconstruction as a result of the bad nature that some parts of the road got into. The reconstruction, though the best has brought about a lot of discomfort to users or commuters of the road. We see excessive traffic delaying most people as they go to work and about their normal lives. This means that if you have been frequenting the Accra-Tema motorway, it’s either you wake up very early in the morning and expect to get home late and tired.

The Roads Minister, Hon Kwasi Amoako-Atta, who has been on his feet ensuring work is completed on time to ease the huge traffic as a result of their works has assured all commuters of the Accra Tema Motorway and Ghanaians that by Friday, June 17 2022, the road will be reopened. He also made it clear that if it would mean working all night to make it happen, that would be done. “I will spend the night here with my group. Within 24 hours we will work to make it happen and those who do not know what is happening here should keep quiet because my engineers and I have been working day and night in order to bring comfort to Ghanaians. This project will come out well and Ghanaians will get value for money,” he added.

He said he was ever ready to provide the necessary materials, be it iron rods and all others to make it possible for them to complete this project by tomorrow morning.

We hope that everything will go well as promised by the Honourable minister, Kwasi Amoako-Atta as Ghanaians are expecting nothing but the best from our leaders, even though they keep disappointing us.

Can the road be done and done well by tomorrow? Share your thoughts with us on what you expect.
