Adwoa Sarfo’s name has been on the news for the past few months following her absence in parliament. Due to her absence in parliament, majority caucus in parliament found it difficult to pass the controversial e-levy.
Privileges committee has already served her a notice to appear before them and answer questions for her absence in parliament. Adwoa Sarfo seems to have failed to attend this meeting.
The member of Parliament for Suame Constituency, Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who doubles as the majority leader in parliament has reacted to this incident. Speaking on Neat FM this morning, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu revealed that Adwoa Sarfo has stopped replying his messages. He added that Adwoa Sarfo seems to be deceiving him and parliament because the issue of her child being sick is long due.
He made it clear to Adwoa Sarfo that she should remember that he is her leader in parliament. According to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, if Adwoa Sarfo has any problem, she should contact the Chief Whip or himself but Adwoa has failed to do any of these.
