FixTheCountry convener, Osagyefo Oliver Barker has once again served a strong notice to the Ghana police ahead of an alleged intended arrest of his friend by the police.
In his recent Facebook post, Oliver Barker revealed that he has been told that Ghana Police Service have made it clear on one radio station that they would arrest one Selorm Ameza, who has been campaigning against police brutalities in the country.
According to Oliver Barker, the fixthecountry group will fully support Selorm in these hard times.
“My attention has just been drawn to the fact the Ghana Police Service has threatened on Radio to arrest Selorm Ameza, a local activist in Akatsi who is campaigning against Police Brutality if he goes ahead with plans to organize a Press Conference on the Police Killings in Akatsi, tomorrow.”
“FixTheCountry will be offering all support to our friends in Akatsi, and our legal team will be on standby monitoring the situation” he said.
Oliver Barker believes that the police service are always overreacting on some issues against demonstrators who try to fight for their right.
Oliver Barker has also been on the headlines recently for various “unlawful” incidents with the Ghana Police service. He was recently arrested for breaking traffic regulations. He was also arrested for making a coup statement some time ago.
