Black Stars German-tactician, Otto Addo has revealed the possibility of the unveiling the new lads who have opted to play for the Senior National Soccer Team the Black Stars before the Mundial in Qatar 2022.
The head-coach for the National team mentioned this in his interview after gaining the third spot in the Kirin Cup in Japan.
Otto says he’s looking forward to some new faces at the Senior National team before international break in somewhere in the 9th month, thus, September.
Further, the current squad is waiting for, Forward Eddie Nketiah of Premier League side Arsenal and Tariq Lamptey of Brighton & Hove Albion are among the players the Black Stars are said to have asked to change their nationalities and play for them on the international game( Mundial in Qatar 2022).
Others are Stephan Ambrosius of Bundesliga club Hamburger SV, Chelsea’s Callum Hudson Odoi, and Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao. According to the head-coach.
The former Dortmund trainer said, “It’s an open secret that we have talked to a lot of players and I think at latest by next week, we would know who would like to join us,” Addo said.
He continued, “Surely, we would have to be very fast now because we have set a limit, if someone wants to join us he must be ready for the September window, and for that, we will need answers now.”
“Hopefully we will know more by next week and we will see if we can get one or two players to try out during the September international break.”
The Stars continue their preparation towards the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
